Glubran 2 - Characteristics

Fiala Glubran 2GLUBRAN 2 is a synthetic surgical glue that is ready for use.

GLUBRAN 2 is a tissue adhesive with high adhesive and haemostatic properties which, in certain situations, allow to reduce the use of surgical sutures.

In a wet environment, GLUBRAN 2 polymerises rapidly, creating a thin elastic film with high stretch resistance, which guarantees solid adhesion of the tissues and an effective antiseptic barrier.

Purposes of use

GLUBRAN 2 surgical glue is used in traditional and laparoscopic surgery. More specifically in: cardiac surgery, paediatric cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, paediatric surgery, ENT surgery, gynaecological surgery, urological surgery, digestive tract endoscopy, interventional radiology, vascular neuroradiology.

Instructions for use

GLUBRAN 2 surgical glue is ready for use and does not require any preparation. The glue must be aspirated from the monodose vial using a sterile insulin syringe and applied to the treated area drop by drop (about one drop per sq.cm). Any excess of the product can be removed with a dry pad within the first 5/6 seconds after application. Once polymerisation has taken place, a second layer of glue can be placed onto the first. The glue can be vaporized. The glue must be kept in the refrigerator at a temperature between 0° and +4°C. The glue is sterilised on filtering and sterilising membranes.
